It was the day of the 2010 under 21 All Ireland at Semple Stadium and I took my seat in the New Stand. I watched the Tipp team come out of the tunnel. They started the warm up and not long after the Galway team came out. We stood for the Amhrán na bhFiann and the crowd went wild as the referee threw in the ball.  The game began. 35 seconds in and suddenly Buggy O Meara scored a great goal. We all jumped with excitement. At that very moment I knew Tipp were going to win the game. It seemed to get dark quickly so they turned on the flood lights. Now the pitch was lit up. Tipp got some great scores and Galway too. Coming up to the end of the game our own Moycarkey club man Kieran Morris came on. He scored 1 point from a free. When the ref blew for full time, everybody was full of joy as Tipperary had comprehensively beaten the Tribesmen. With Buggy O Meara Man of the Match and the Cross of Cashel in its rightful place I would say it was another great night in Thurles.
