BEST WISHES TO TIPPERARY TEAMS

GOOD LUCK TO THE TIPPERARY SENIOR HURLERS AND TIPPERARY MINOR FOOTBALLERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FIXTURES IN THE COMING WEEK.

GOLDEN OVERCOME DUALLA NS IN HURRICANE CONDITIONS

Dualla NS and Golden NS served up a wonderful contest recently in an Under 11 Hurling Challenge game played in very stormy conditions in Golden. Golden started very strongly and soon had two goals on the board. It remained this way until just before half-time when Callum Lawrence scored an excellent goal for Dualla NS. On the resumption Golden NS soon added to their tally with another fine goal which left Dualla NS Goalie Páraic Flanagan with no chance. Golden NS followed this up with two quick points. Dualla NS came thundering back into the game in the last ten minutes and were rewarded with two superb goals from the Lawrence Brothers; Brendan and Callum. At the final whistle, Golden NS emerged victorious on a scoreline of 3-02 to 3-00. Well done to Golden NS on their victory. Man of the Match: Callum Lawrence. The Dualla NS Squad was as follows: Pádraic Flanagan, Eoin Power, Páraic Brosnan (Joint Capt.), Callum Lawrence, Brendan Lawrence (Joint Capt.), Eoin Moloughney, Aisling Moloughney, Ava Ryan, Nicole Kennedy, Hannah Hughes, Anna McCan.

Calling all budding young Sports Reporters! Would you like to see your name in print?

We are looking for articles or accounts about Cumann na mBunscol activities in your school. Could you write a short report on a school match, training tips, humorous stories or other interesting material with a Cumann na mBunscol link? It could be about Hurling, Football, or Athletics. A special “Reporter of the Week” link has been added to our website: http://www.cumannnambunscol.tipperary.gaa.ie/. I would encourage all teachers to have writing competitions and to pick a winning entry and submit it to Tipperary Cumann na mBunscol PRO John Manley of Dualla NS at pro.cnmb.tipperary@gaa.ie. I will then attempt to pick a winning entry. The pupil’s match report will then appear in the “Reporter of the Week” section of our website and the winner’s name will also be announced on Tipp FM. The following criteria should be adhered to:

· Entry is to be typed and emailed to: pro.cnmb.tipperary@gaa.ie
