On the 26th October 2011 Corville won the U13s North County Final. Corville and Borrisokane contested the match.  It was played in Roscrea GAA field. The starting eight were Emmett Fitzgerald, Cian Fletcher, Lee O’Conner, Glenn loughnanne, Ruari Murphy, Josh Wynne Young, Conner Nolan and Steven Mulhall. Our captain was Ruari Murphy.  The first score of the game was an excellent goal by Steven Mulhall. Another quick goal was followed by Josh Wynne Young.  At half time we were leading by 3-1 to 1-0.  We had a comfortable lead going into the second half.  Borrisokane had a brilliant comeback by scoring four points before we managed to touch the ball. During the second half we were not playing well.  Thankfully we still had a good lead. In the dying moments of the game it was all tied up and anyone could have won it. Luckily, in the last minute of the game Josh Wynne Young scored the winning point.  Borrisokane got a free right in front of the goal.  The full forward stepped up to take the free and thankfully he missed and Corville were the winners.  We all had pride in our jerseys, from the goalkeeper to the subs.  We all ran up in a huddle and cheered with joy and sang our school song.  Afterward we shook the hands of  the Borrisokane players and Principal.  We went back to school by bus and we were greeted by the whole school who formed a guard of honour through the school yard and they played ‘We are the Champions’ over the PA system.  We were so proud of ourselves for this was the first north final corville had ever won.  The following Friday we got the trophy.  Our principal Mr. Slattery presented our captain Ruari Murphy with the trophy and we picked our man of the match; it was Josh Wynne Young.
