County Football Finals Update

posted 23 Oct 2013, 05:12 by Unknown user
The Officers of Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol will be meeting this Friday October 25th, at 6pm in Cashel, to decide upon times, venues and dates of the 2013 Football/Ladies Football County Finals. I will be emailing all the schools on Friday evening with the venues, dates and times of the various County Finals. The Finals will take place during the week ending November 8th. We will ensure that if schools are in more than one final, their finals will be on seperate days. Please inform me by text, on 0876578057, if there is any day or time during the week ending November 8th that your school can't play a County Final. Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol will be paying the referees and caretakers for the Finals we organise. If schools arrange Finals amongst themselves those schools will have to pay the referee and caretaker. We would encourage schools to play their Finals on the days we give them and would discourage any schools from organising their own Finals. That defeats the purpose of having centralised Finals. All Finals that we organise will be played in central venues and there will be numerous other Finals at that venue, on that day. This will create a superior atmosphere to stand-alone Finals. We will have no Finals as stand-alone matches.
Please check the email of your school, or your personal email address if that's the email address I send Allianz Cumann na mBunscol information to, over the coming weekend (if your school is in a County Final) to see the time, venue and date of your County Final. This will give you an opportunity to book buses etc over the Mid Term Break. I apologise that we can't have the information out to you sooner but a lot of the matches are only going to be finishing up this Thursday and Friday. A lot of Divisional Finals and North Finals will be finishing on those days.
All our matches, up to County Finals, will be played by this Friday and I want to thank all schools for getting all matches played by the Halloween break. I know it wasn't easy to do with the bad weather we've had lately, so I commend everyone for ensuring this was done.
Best of luck to all schools in whatever matches they have left to play. Also best wishes, and congratulations, to any school lucky enough to reach a County Final. Getting there is a great achievement but schools who don't reach the big day deserve huge praise as well, for participating and giving of their best.
