Ballyneale continued their winning streak with victory over Kilbarron in the Under 13 G Gaelic Football Final in Thurles on the 18th November.  The team got off to an excellent start and set the pace for the rest of the match.  Conditions were terrible but the footballers were determinded and badly wanted the win.  This win goes into the history books as it is the first time the pupils from Ballyneale have ever won a championship with Cumann na mBunscol.  Goals were scored by Mark O' Meara and Jake Hennebry.  Points were scored by Lorcán Magorrian, Manus McFadden, Ian Holloway, Jack Connolly, Zach Ellis and Mark O' Meara.  The final score was 2-8 to 0-4.  Commiserations to Kilbarron who worked hard throughout the game.  A special thanks to coach Eugene McGuigan who has trained and put the time and effort into the pupils.  Euguene had the footballers prepared well and ready for the tournament.  Many thanks to all the parents who supported and transported the pupils to matches over the year.  Best of luck to the Girls Under 13 team who will represent the school in the final on Tuesday 29th November in Cashel.  Congratulations to Kilcash National School who also won their final.
