Tuesday 11th September 2012 at 6.45 pm. Hayes’ Hotel Thurles.

Chairman Paddy Kelly welcomed everyone to the meeting, and thanked the delegates for their attendance. After adoption of the Standing Orders and last year’s minutes the Secretary Aodan Wrenn presented his Secretary’s Report. Treasurer Jerry McDonnell was unable to be present so Aodan Wrenn went through Jerry’s Treasurer’s Report. The finances of Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol were in good order and Jerry was confident that we would have a healthy balance at the end of the year. Chairman Paddy Kelly then gave his Chairman’s Address. In it he thanked all the teachers for their co-operation throughout the past twelve months. He thanked the referees for their efforts and for ensuring our games get played. He thanked the GDAs for helping us run our Go-Games programme at Under 11 level, and for all the assistance they gave us during the year. Paddy thanked Semple Stadium for providing their Stadium for us on County Hurling and Camogie Finals day. He gave special thanks to Drom-Inch GAA club for permitting us to use The Ragg GAA Pitch for the second day of our County Finals, as Semple Stadium could not be used on that day due to the wet weather. Paddy finished by wishing all the schools the very best for the coming school year, and in the Cumann na mBunscol competitions. The meeting proceeded to Gradings and Fixtures. It was decided that the Football Championships would begin on the week ending the 21st of September. ALL County Finals would be played by Wednesday 24th of October. This would comply with a motion passed at last year’s AGM, which stated that ALL County Football Finals would be played before the Halloween Mid Term Break. Gradings and groupings were discussed and all schools present were happy with this year’s Gradings. The only change of note to the layout of the Competitions was that a Roinn F would be introduced in the Under 13 Ladies Football. This meant splitting Roinn E into 2 groups. Roinn F would comprise of 2 teacher schools and weaker 3 teacher schools. The delegates were happy to see this change to the layout of the Girls Competition. The delegates were informed that Under 11 boys and girls Go Games fixtures would be sent out within the next few weeks and that the Go Games blitzes would take place in early October. There was nothing brought up under Any Other Business. Chairman Paddy Kelly then closed the meeting, and wished all the delegates a safe journey home.
