Schools are requested to email team photos and match reports for the various finals to Paudie Fahey (P.R.O. Football) at These will be published by local Tipperary newspapers and will be a great profile boost for all schools. Formatting details are outlined below. Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol wish schools every success in their upcoming fixtures. Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh!

Schools are asked to be at the venue a half-hour before their match is due to start. There will be 5 minutes for half time. For Under-11 Finals all substitutes must come on at half time. If schools don't fully co-operate and do this, the Championship will be awarded to the other team. Under-11 Football and Ladies Football Finals will be 15 minutes per half. For Under-11 Finals in Football and Ladies Football schools must bring a list of their panel with the Dates of Birth of each child written beside the player. This list must be given to the co-ordinator on arrival. Under-13 Football and Ladies Football Finals will be 20 minutes per half. For 7 and 8 a side matches the pitch will be shortened and will go from the 21 to the opposite 45. Schools do not pay for the referee or caretaker. Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol will cover these costs. No more than 5 mentors/teachers/coaches/water carriers can be on the line with any team. Everyone else must go into the stand. Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol would like to thank all schools in advance for adhering to these rules so that the finals can be played smoothly and fairly for all involved.

After several queries on certain rules when playing in Cumann na mBunscol matches, a reminder was sent to schools in relation to play of the ball and square ball rules. For both football and ladies football at U-13 and U-11 only two plays of the ball are permitted, i.e. one hop and one solo OR two solos. In addition to this, schools are reminded that the square ball rule applies in Cumann na mBunscol matches. Finally, a reminder that girls can play on the boys football teams at U-11 and U-13 level but must follow boys rules.

Schools are reminded of the importance of mouthguards for all children participating in Cumann na mBunscol matches. All boys training for and playing Gaelic football must wear mouthguards at all times. Girls playing Ladies Football and training for Ladies Football are not obliged to wear mouthguards until the 1st of January 2014. However, girls playing football on boy's teams will have to wear mouthguards from now. For P.E. lessons undertaken by the teacher or un-organised football sessions, such as at break times, it is at the discretion of the school as to whether mouthguards are to be used.

Schools are reminded and encouraged to send news and updates of their progress in the football championships for the coming season. Reports should include, in as much as possible, school names, referee, venue, final score and a balanced account of the match. A Reporter of the Week will be chosen and their work included in the weekly report. Please ensure all reports are a single paragraph in Verdana 10 type. All submissions should be proof-read by the teacher before submission.
