U13 Football Fixtures 2017

St. Michael’s N.S, Clerihan, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

A chara,

Please find attached the 2017 Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Under 13 Football and Ladies Football fixtures.

Go Games blitzes will take place during the second week of October.

We must endeavour to play all our matches ON TIME this year. We will be very strict on that this year. Failure to play your match on the week given will lead to a forfeit of the points. If both schools are responsible for the delay neither school will receive the points. I will monitor every game played in the Championship and I will ensure that schools do not hold up competitions. If competitions aren’t finished on time we will go on to County Finals regardless. I am sure everyone will co-operate this year. The schedule is tight but we have enough time to complete all our competitions.

Please take note of the following, regarding the Under 13 Championships:

  1. For each match each school pays the referee 15 euro and the caretaker of the pitch 10 euro. In a blitz the school pays 15 to the referee and 10 to the caretaker. That money is to be given to the Co-ordinator of the blitz before the games begin.
  2. NB....The Co-ordinator of Blitzes must:

Book the pitch, book the referees, set a time for the blitz, ring each school involved and let them know the time, confirm the date with each school, and confirm the participation of each school. At the end of the blitz the Co-ordinator must text me on 087-6578057 with the winners of the Blitz.

  1. Please note that if schools fail to play a game, within the time frame set out in the fixtures, that school, or schools, will forfeit that particular match. THE GAMES MUST BE PLAYED ON TIME, AT ALL TIMES.
  2. The teacher from the winning school must text me the final score from each match played this year. This will help me with my records and will help when it comes to re-grading etc next year. We will be able to see which schools are struggling in a certain division and will make our job easier when it comes to re-grading. Also it keeps me informed about how divisions are going.  I would appreciate your co-operation on this issue.  I don’t want to have to be going looking for the scores.
  3. The First named school in a fixture, that is written for the League format of the Football Competitions and the Ladies Football Roinn A and Roinn B Divisions, MUST make the initial contact. It doesn't necessarily mean that the first named team has home advantage as some schools have home and away arrangements etc.
  4. Unlimited soloing is NOT permitted in Cumann na mBunscol. In both Under 13 and Under 11 it is 2 plays of the ball and then the ball must be released. Therefore it is one hope, one solo, release OR two solos and release.
  5. There is a square ball in Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol’s football and ladies football competitions, at both Under 13 and Under 11. It will be up to the referee to make the call if he feels a player was in the square or not.
  6. There are unlimited substitutions allowed in under 13 competitions.  (NOT in under 11).
  7. Any school who has not paid their annual registration fee, of 30 euro for 2017 (to Jerry McDonnell) before their first game, will NOT be allowed compete in competitions. Cheques, made payable to Tipperary Allianz Cumann na mBunscol, to be sent to Jerry McDonnell, 25 Ballingarrane, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. If you haven’t already done so, please send on the cheque IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT send the cheque to me.

At our AGM in February a motion was passed that says: At the end of all Under 13 games (outside of semi finals and Finals if deemed appropriate) 10 minutes must be played at the end. This is 10 minutes of non-competitive action. It can be called a 10 minute fun game or 10 minute exhibition game.  During this time ALL substitutes must play the entire 10 minutes.  The referee signals to the teachers and coaches involved that the game is over, the game continues without a break.  This is to ensure that everyone who is brought to the game gets to play some part of the game. It isn’t nice to see kids left on the sideline for the whole match and not get any game time. THIS IS A DIRECTIVE FROM THE TIPPERARY ALLIANZ CUMANN NA MBUNSCOL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. Any school that fails to cooperate is breaking the rules and thus will be thrown out of the competition, with immediate effect.
In Under 13 Ladies Football, where there are blitzes, this rule doesn’t apply. It doesn’t apply either if Under 13 Football schools decide they want to play a Blitz in their group, instead of a league.

In Under 13 Football, and Under 13 Ladies Football Roinn A and B, a blitz may only be played if EVERY school in the group agrees to it. If even one school in the group is not in agreement then the league format MUST be played.

I would like to wish all schools the very best of luck in their Championships.

Go n-eiri libh, go leir.

 Kind regards,

Aodan Wrenn.
